Roger Federer seems really serious about his boy band endeavours along with Tommy Haas and Grigor Dimitrov. This time, the trio went into a recording studio, and with the help of David Foster, recorded their first song, which also features a guest appearance from Novak Djokovic.
Following Nick Kyrgios’ withdrawal from the Indian Wells quarter-finals, Federer came onto the court to do an interview. The organisers took this opportunity to show the video to the entire crowd, and the worldwide audience on the big screen. Federer also took this opportunity to express his views about his band’s first single, “It’s really, really funny. It’s embarrassing, it’s so bad, yet it’s so good!”
The band is apparently being called the One-handed Backhand Boys. “We’re still looking for names, but at the moment we’re One-Handed Backhand Boys” explained Federer.
Well, we loved the debut of the One-Handed Backhand Boys. There were talks of Grammys out on the Indian Wells court on Friday. And we must say, we would love to see Federer and co. bag one or two for this performance.
