Justice League is scheduled to hit theaters on 17th November. There is obviously much hype and speculation regarding what many hope will be an epic spectacle.
The runtime of the movie has also been a matter of great speculation, especially after the Dawn of Justice saga. Now, based on reports from various theater chains, including AMC Theaters, Galaxy Cinemas and Regal Cinemas, the runtime of Justice League is set to be 121 minutes.
If that is the case, it would be the shortest movie produced so far in the DC Extended Universe. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Man of Steel, which were also produced by Zack Snyder, had a runtime of 153 minutes and 143 minutes respectively. The closest any DCEU movie comes would be Suicide Squad which clocked in at 123 minutes.
The relatively shorter runtime would definitely come as a surprise to many. You could expect that an origins story of the Justice League, comprising the Earth’s mightiest heroes, would be longer than an average movie in order to accommodate each character’s individual story arc. However, it looks like crisp and to the point story telling is what we’re about to get.
